Happy New Year - Adelaide fireworks

This year we headed up to Light's Vision on Montefiore Hill, to watch the new year fireworks. This monument to Colonel William Light, South Australia's first Surveyor General has a view across the city he began surveying in 1836. There is a lovely park here, and every new year hundreds of people come with their families to watch the fireworks. At midnight, 2012 was ushered in with a spectacular fireworks display

  3. Pretty much amazing! I went to Glenelg for watching the fireworks, but I don't think they were more beautiful than this one. Think of going to Montefiore Hill next year!

  5. Thanks for the fireworks Tony. WE stayed securely at home on the farm, didn't even bother to spend the night on Mt.Lofty where we could have watched the fireworks popping from the upper terrace.

A happy and successful birding year to you.
